05/21/2010 Mechanical Design Engineer

Gillig is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead design projects for design component parts and systems for heavy duty diesel and hybrid powered transit vehicles.  Responsibilities will include creating layouts (in Autodesk Inventor/Autocad), part designs and drawings, component and system design validation, testing, writing instructions for bill of material creation, production support and online problem solving, working with vendors on manufacturing/service issues and new products.  With minimal supervision, you must be able to engineer high quality, cost effective design maximizing commonality across product lines.  You must be able to provide technical support to Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Service departments.  Good communication skills are required.

 Requirements: Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years design engineering experience.

 

05/21/2010 Electrical Engineer Gillig is seeking an Electrical Engineer with extensive design experience in vehicle electrical systems.  Experience in the design of bus or truck electrical systems required.  Projects are varied and technically challenging. You will need to have a BSEE and a working knowledge of Auto CAD.  Knowledge of circuit design, component selection and trouble shooting is essential.

Gillig has an immediate opening for an entry level Accountant.  This position is an excellent opportunity for a bright person interested in a career with a sophisticated, manufacturing company.  Gillig builds a highly complex product which requires an integrated, mainframe MRP/accounting system.   

The primary responsibilities include: 

  • Reviewing bills of material to insure accurate invoicing and product costing
  • Performing monthly major component inventories and reconciliations

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Major in Accounting
