SWIFTWATER, Pa. — The Monroe County Transit Authority received a special delivery at its headquarters in Swiftwater: a new GILLIG CNG bus that rolled in after a long ride.
This is the last of 5 new compressed natural gas buses added to the fleet, and the new addition came all the way from Livermore, California, near Oakland.
Driver Tarton Chew documented the nearly 2,800-mile journey on social media, “The end goal to the customer is always a beautiful thing, especially when you see the excitement and watching the smiles, because I know when I bring it here I have smiles bringing it here, so I always say it’s the miles of smiles.”
