GILLIG has been recognized for promoting the value of public transit through our bus stop, which celebrates the American worker.

Located in front of our 600,000 square-foot facility, the bus stop includes a metal United States flag decorated with the images of the men and women who have dedicated their talents and skills to the many industries of Livermore. Their dedication and pride resonate throughout Livermore’s heritage and its workforce today. GILLIG is proud to recognize the men and women who have contributed their skills and talents to make our city unique.

In partnership with the Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA), GILLIG received the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) AdWheel Award in the category of the Best Marketing and Communications Educational Initiative. Award criteria included overall impact and impression; clarity of message; and success in achieving purpose.

Along with other first-place winners, GILLIG was presented with the AdWheel Award at the 2020 Marketing & Communications Workshop from Feb. 23-26, 2020, in Orlando, FL. As a first-place winner, GILLIG is also eligible for a Grand Award. Winners of Grand Awards will be honored at APTA EXPO 2020 in Anaheim, CA, October 11-14, 2020.
